Artist's Description
This is one of the last images I made on film before the digital revolution. I was feeling very down and depressed that rainy day and a friend told me, "I don't care if it's raining. Go out and find something pretty to photograph."
The wind, thunder, and lightning had passed and there was just a light drizzle still falling when I saw this rosebud - there was still some hope, life, and beauty that weathered through the storm. It told me that everything was going to be alright, I could weather the storm also.
